Good morning people who redirect wrong thinking back to godly thinking.
I sit here writing this from a place of having a very busy mind. It has been challenging to redirect my thoughts from the many things that need to be done and the many things that I see need to change in the world.
Have you ever been there?
From this place, I turned to the Lord and asked Him to speak to me. He directed me to a very well-known verse that contains much needed truth. I want to share it today.
I also want to share some other well-known verses over coming days. I feel Father is pointing us back to what we “know”, and He is declaring, “This is still truth for you today.” May we be blessed as we meditate on the truth.
Philippians 4:8 NIV Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
Not everything that enters my mind should be thought about. Some thoughts need to be rejected, and some thoughts need to be handed to God.
The list of things in the verse above are things that glorify God. And it is these things that Paul instructs us to give our attention to; this is what it means by think about such things.
This takes intentionality, persistence and lots of time meditating on the truth. This also requires us being continually led by the Holy Spirit.
So, let’s think about such things.
