#5030 – False Prophets

Good morning people who discern by the fruit of what you are hearing.

Matthew 7:15-18 NIV 15 Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.

These are days for increased discernment when it comes to listening to those who claim to speak the truth.

Once again I need to say, if it is contrary to the written Word of God, then it is not the truth. Also, if it does not result in an increase of the fruit of the Spirit, something is wrong!

Fruit is the automatic result of the life source that it is connected to and that it comes from. So, it is time to change the focus of some conversations.

People debate the right or the wrong of some “modern-day teaching”. While this could be a sweeping statement that is open to being misinterpreted, I pray you will hear from the Spirit as I bring this simple encouragement.

Fruit is the issue! Fruit is the measuring rod! Fruit is the evidence!

Are you more loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, kind, gentle and self-controlled as a result of the decisions that you are making?

Are people stepping closer to God as a result of the decisions that you are making?

Truth results in good fruit. Lies do not.
