Good morning people who have a passion for revelation from God’s Word.
On October 5th, 2021, I started writing on the Book of Colossians for BIY. This was something that I heard Him tell me to do. I assumed it might be a month or so, but almost four months on, we have finished.
The only reason I am mentioning this is to point us all to the depths of revelation that is available to us in God’s Word – if we would only take some more time and look a little deeper.
I want to encourage you to shift your focus from reading the Bible, to sitting with God.
When you read something that doesn’t make sense, or you think there is nothing in that verse for you, stop. Remember, this is God’s Word, and as such, God has something to say.
Yes, you might need to take some time, but that is exactly God’s desire when it comes to you reading His Word – He wants time with you.
And not just time so that you can see more ways that you need to change and more that you need to do. Sure, His Word does transform and change us, but that’s not God’s primary focus and desire.
God wants to reveal Himself to you and have fellowship with you. This is His goal.
And as we discover Him and get to know Him more intimately, everything else will find its right place.
This is the gift of meditating on God’s Word. I pray you are inspired to go deeper.
