Good morning people who live every part of your life for the glory of God.

Colossians 2:16-17 NIV Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.

One of the great hurdles to many people entering into the depth of relationship that is available with God is the many rules, regulations and rituals imposed on them.

Now, this is where things get tricky and we must be careful.

Not every law from the Old Testament is no longer relevant today. For example, all ten of the Ten Commandments are as much for us today as they were for the children of Israel thousands of years ago. These and many other laws are to do with our relationship with God and our relationship with other people. All of these empower love and take us deeper. Our salvation is not dependent upon the fulfilment of these laws, but they are still relevant today and they will enrich our lives.

But the short list and the main point stated in our verses today are talking about something different to this. Let’s lean in a little more tomorrow.
