#4862 – Head of the Church

Good morning people who acknowledge the supremacy of Christ.

Colossians 1:18 NIV And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.

No pastor or leader is the head of the church – none.

We are all sons and daughters, friends and servants, labourers and co-labourers, heirs and joint-heirs.

But we are not the head of the body, the church.

Jesus Christ is the head of His body, of His church!

The church will only ever fulfil her mission when Jesus truly is Lord and supreme in His church.

This means He has His way, in His timing, and it’s all for His glory.

His directives are not up for debate, nor do they need to be voted through a committee. It’s His church!

I declare that these are days for a fresh and holy view of the church.

I declare that these are days when leaders follow the Holy Spirit’s leading in every moment.

I declare that these are days when every believer loves, honours and values the church for who she really is, the body and the bride of Christ.
