#4755 – Exalt God

Good morning people who lift God up wherever you go.

Psalms 57:5 NIV Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.

Exalting God is not reserved for church meetings only. Of course, it is absolutely wonderful to exalt God at church. Our focus should not primarily be on “us” and “my”, but on “God” and “His”. Glorifying God together with other believers at church is awesome, good and right.

But let’s not limit it to these times!

It’s time for the glory of God – the praise, worship, honour, awe and weightiness of who God is – to be over all the earth!

It’s time for God to be glorified in our families and in our places of employment. It’s time for God to be glorified in our board meetings and on our sports fields.

It’s time for God to be glorified by the young and by the old. It’s time for God to be glorified by the extrovert and by the introvert.

It’s time for God to be glorified by kings, queens, presidents, prime ministers and premiers. It’s time for God to be glorified by the Labour Party, the Liberal Party, the Republicans and the Democrats.

May the following verse become a living reality in the days that we live in:

Habakkuk 2:14 NIV For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
