Good morning people who shine your light so the world can encounter Jesus

As the Church, we are called and empowered to be part of the solution in the world, not to contribute to the problem.

My heart is heavy as I hear about what some Christians post on social media, joke about with their friends, or watch on the TV, at the movies, or online.

The amount of excuses and justifications I hear is growing too.

But none of these are pleasing to the Lord.

Some will read this and say, “Look, Steve is being legalistic again.”

I don’t believe I am.

I write this with a soft heart towards God, but also with a grieved heart which I believe is a reflection of God’s heart with some things that His sons and daughters are tolerating and even glorifying.

Every moment, every action, every comment, every pursuit of a follower of Jesus Christ reflects on who God is; our lives = God’s reputation.

I want to represent Him well, and I want other Christians to represent Him well too.

It’s not about what we are comfortable with or what we think is ok. It’s not about winning an argument or pushing our agenda.

It’s about the reputation, glory, majesty and honour of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
