#4669 – In the Flesh

Good morning people who bring glory to God in your flesh

Galatians 2:20 NKJV I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

This scripture makes very clear this realigning truth I feel is on God’s heart.

‘I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.’ This is talking about our sinful nature that lives in opposition to Christ. This was our nature before we were born again. But now, this sinful nature is dead, and we are alive in Christ. Hallelujah!

‘And the life that I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God.’ Now that I am dead to my sinful nature – it has no part in me – I live by faith in my flesh! There is no way that the flesh itself is sinful if Jesus became flesh and if we now live in the flesh by faith!!

How do we live in the flesh by faith when there are still desires that we face and attacks from the enemy?

‘Who loved me, and gave Himself for me.’ This is how! Love gives the best and what is right, even when sacrifice and saying no to desires is needed. Jesus desired to not go to the cross, even though He knew that this was His Father’s will. But He gave Himself up for us – He said no to a wrong desire that came to His flesh – and He expects us to do the same for Him.
