What is our generosity dependent on?

God loved the world so much that He gave His best; He gave His one and only Son. This was the ultimate act of generosity.

As God’s people, are we generous people?

There are givers and there are takers. Some people seek out any opportunity to do others good and to give generously in various ways. However, other people are always seeking to get whatever they can from others.

We either live with a pauper mindset or with an abundance mindset. Both of these mindsets have been misunderstood and incorrectly taught. It’s time for a biblical realignment.

As a believer, we have more than enough to give away.

My starting place here is not financial, yet that’s where we often go first. We have the fulness of God living in us, and He has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places! We have been forgiven, set free, redeemed, called and empowered! We have the Spirit of wisdom and revelation leading us into all truth! God has given us His power and He is our Provider! We have more than enough!

Generosity is first of all a heart posture. If we live thankfully receiving all that God has given us, we will have a desire to generously pass God’s best on to others.

We can be generous with our time, our gifts, our encouragement, our thanks, our finances, and our effort.

Who does Father want you to give generously to today?
