Good morning people who ask God to show you His reality on things
James 1:5 NIV If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
Wisdom comes from God, not from the world.
The word wisdom here means what it says: ‘wisdom (higher or lower, worldly or spiritual).’ I find this very interesting and it is something we desperately need revelation and realignment on today as followers of Jesus Christ.
The Holy Spirit is called ‘the Spirit of wisdom and revelation’ (Ephesians 1:17). We are also told that He will reveal to us the deep things of God (1 Corinthians 2:10). If we want to know Father’s perspective on spiritual matters, the Holy Spirit is the One to ask, and He is the One we should listen to.
But let’s not limit the Holy Spirit’s involvement in our lives to spiritual matters. The original word in the Greek covers ‘lower’ and ‘worldly’ wisdom too. What does this mean for us today?
There is not a single part of your life that the Holy Spirit does not want to be involved in and lead you in. Whether it is something spiritual or natural, just like the Father and Jesus, He is always interested in us as people, every part, fully!
So, today, if you don’t know something and it’s important to you, ask the Holy Spirit of wisdom to reveal the truth to you. This is what He does and He is very good at it!
