Good morning people who continually come back to living life God’s way

The victory over our enemies is in our submission to God, not in our strength against our enemies.

Psalms 81:11-14 NIV But my people would not listen to me; Israel would not submit to me. So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own devices. “If my people would only listen to me, if Israel would only follow my ways, how quickly I would subdue their enemies and turn my hand against their foes!”

This is written about God’s people, not the world, and therefore the opening line is sobering to me.

Our problem is often connected to our refusal to listen to God and submit to Him. We want Jesus as Ssviour, but not as Lord. We want to be safe, but we want to continue to do what we want to do.

Christianity does not work this way.

Sometimes the focus needs to shift from fighting against and trying to overcome our enemies, to listening to God and doing what He says.
