#4464 – Decluttered Lives

Good morning people who stay on track with the priorities of heaven

The main declutter that is needed is not from stuff in our homes, but from distractions in our lives.

One of the main enemies to God’s people fulfilling God’s will for their lives is distraction.

Distraction is more than simply doing something different than we should be doing. It starts there, but if not arrested, it will lead to the true danger called distraction.

Dis: ‘the absence or removal of’.

Traction: ‘power provided for movement’.

Distraction is ‘the absence or removal of power provided for movement.’

Acts 1:8 NIV But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

The Holy Spirit only empowers what we are meant to be doing. We cannot achieve God’s purpose for our lives outside of the leading and the power of the Holy Spirit – it’s impossible.

Each day is a gift to be lived, not hours to be squandered.

Distraction removes the Holy Spirit’s power, and this is why it is essential to declutter it from our lives.
