#4372 – Right Preparation

Good morning people who prepare well before engaging in battle

Soldiers understand the necessity of right preparation.

A wonderful wedding day requires adequate preparation. A healthy and happy marriage requires even more preparation.

A scrumptious meal requires preparation. You can’t cook with ingredients that you don’t have. Planning ahead is part of a chef’s success.

Competing in a triathlon requires preparation – lots of preparation. You don’t go from no exercise to completing a triathlon with no steps in between. A triathlete also needs to prepare for the swim, the cycle and the run. You can’t prepare for only one part of a triathlon and plan to complete it well.

Soldiers don’t just enlist in the army one day and find themselves winning a war on a battlefield the next day. Right preparation increases the chance of success (which I suppose means it’s not about ‘chance’ – it’s about preparation and training).

As soldiers who are enlisted in the army of God, we are told to ‘put on the armour of God’. This is part of our preparation. You don’t put on armour in the middle of a battle, you put it on before you go to battle.

Ephesians 6:11 NIV Put on the full armour of God, so that you can take your stand against the devils schemes.

Are you living prepared and ready for battle?
