#4248 – We Now Stand

Good morning people who love God’s Word

The whole Word of God is incredible and so rich with truth. Here’s one of those incredible passages that says so much in just a few verses. I encourage you to meditate on it.

Romans 5:1-5 NIV Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us.

Isn’t that a fantastic scripture!!! Here’s a few things that leap out at me.

We have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. It’s not about one day being good enough or attaining to some level of perfection. What God has done is available to us now.

One of the patterns of life is suffering producing perseverance which produces character which produces hope. I know we all want a different process but this is the one God uses…over and over again. Let’s keep our eyes on what God is producing in us rather than on the process.

Our hope is in the love of God. Now that’s good news because God’s love is the strongest force in existence and it is always consistent, extravagant and available.

Why don’t you see what else God wants to say to you in these verses.
