#4172 – By Faith

Good morning children of the Living God

Matthew 4:3 The tempter came to Him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”

Hebrews 11:6 Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.

Without faith it is impossible to please God.

The opposite of faith is doubt and this is where the enemy constantly attacks us. He does it by coming to us with questions that often sound reasonable.

If you remember the temptation to Adam and Eve it was based in a question: Has God really said that? The enemy still comes today undermining what God has said, and in effect, questioning God’s integrity and His goodness.

The tempter also uses questions that try to make us doubt who we are. He did this with Jesus when he said, “If you are the Son of God…”

Doesn’t that sound familiar to thoughts we have about ourselves? Many people today doubt who they are in God. Many struggle to accept that once saved, they are the righteousness of God. Many find it difficult to accept that they are sons or daughters of the Living God. Many struggle to accept what God says about them.

But we must because we are what He says! And it’s time to walk by faith and not by doubt. We are who God says we are. Read that again. We are who God says we are! We are not what the enemy accuses us of being; we are who God says we are. That’s why it is essential that we know who God says we are. It’s in the Book.
