#4155 – Never Leave

Good morning people who stay close to God

Exodus 33:11 The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend. Then Moses would return to the camp, but his young aide Joshua son of Nun did not leave the tent.

I love what this verse says about Joshua; Moses’ aide: but his young aide Joshua son of Nun did not leave the tent.

Joshua is highlighted to us here as a young man. I am passionately convinced God’s desire is to be close to young people as well as older people. If you are young, you do not need to wait until you are older, until you have made many mistakes or until you have lived a little to be close to God. God extends an invitation for intimacy with Him to you today!

It was at a young age that Joshua learnt the most important thing in life: he did not leave the meeting place of God. He chose to dwell in the presence of God all the days of his life. He had a revelation: intimacy with God is the primary reason for my existence. Have you had that revelation? I pray you do today.

It’s little wonder that Joshua succeeded Moses and led the children of Israel into the Promise Land. It wasn’t due to his gifts or military ability. It was due to his intimacy with God; that’s what promoted him.

Hebrews 13:5b …God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

Have we made the same commitment to God?
