#4141 – Impregnated

Good morning people filled fully with God completely by God

Matthew 1:18 This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with Child through the Holy Spirit.

This verse leapt within me as I read it. Let me show you what I saw.

Mary was impregnated with Jesus by the Holy Spirit. God was put on the inside of Mary. But it was not through human will or effort. Mary was impregnated with Jesus by the Holy Spirit; it was a work of God.

And so it is true with every one of us!

The Holy Spirit comes to impregnate us with God. This is still His desire and His primary purpose today. This is incredible to consider and meditate on. At the moment of impregnation, God Himself is conceived in us. Now look at this.

Matthew 1:20b-21 Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a Son, and you are to give Him the name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins.

There is a process between conception and birth; a process of growing within.

I believe the Holy Spirit impregnates us with God and then desires to see God grow in our lives. The primary part of this growth is growing in the knowledge of God. Secondary to this and flowing from this is growing in the ways of God.

The healthy result of this will be Christians birthing Jesus into the world. Think about that. We bring Jesus into the world! The reason why Jesus needs to develop in us is so that we birth Jesus as He actually is to the world…

…and that is as the Lord who saves. The Name Jesus is the Greek form of Joshua which means the Lord saves. That’s what the world needs to hear clearly! May we all know this deeply in our own lives and pass it on to others.

John 3:17 God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.
