Good morning people of God who have a sound mind

It was when the Israelites were caught between the Egyptians and the Red Sea that Moses gives some great advice for us all.

Exodus 14:13-14 Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

Fear is a destroyer of lives. Have you ever been gripped by fear? I have. Have you ever found that you are continually fighting fear? I have. It’s a horrible place to be.

We need to understand that fear is a spiritual opponent, not just an emotional one.

2 Timothy 1:7 God has not given us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, of love and of a sound mind.

Incredible truth! Fear originates from Satan while love originates from God. We overcome fear with love; the love of God that is God Himself.

1 John 4:16a, 18a We know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love…There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear…

Here’s the absolute truth for us today: Christians do not have to live in fear; we have the power of choice. God is greater than the Enemy. God’s power, love and a sound mind is greater than the Enemy’s fear. Is it easy? No! Is it possible? Yes.

Moses said to the Israelites, “Do not be afraid” because it was possible even though their circumstance was overwhelming. Today I say to you, “Do not be afraid”; our God has given you a spirit of power, love and a sound mind!
