Good morning people who have a right perspective on God and us
Let’s continue to lean in as Father downloads seven truths from this one verse:
John 15:5 NIV I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.
- God is THE MAIN PART; “I AM THE VINE, you are the branches.”
Too often the focus can shift from God to us. Too often we can think that “we” accomplished something for God. Too often it can become more about us than about God.
Today’s word is simple: God is the Main Part, not us.
When a Vine is laden with fruit, people don’t comment on an individual branch. They comment on a fruitful vine.
Here’s a thought worth meditating on: A branch is a signpost to the Vine.
John the Baptist had it right when he said, “Jesus must increase and I must decrease.” (John 3:30)
Jesus said it right too in the following scripture:
John 17:4 NIV I have brought You glory on earth by finishing the work You gave Me to do.
The Root of our lives is the Source of Life Himself, and the fruit of our lives is to bring Him glory.
