#4043 – Don’t Be Slack

Good morning people who honour God with your lips and your life

I am so thankful for God’s love, mercy, grace, kindness, compassion, forgiveness, tenderness and long-suffering. What a wonderful God we serve!

But in these days when the word ‘grace’ is used to make sin acceptable, there is a holy call to live lives worthy of the God Whom we have given our lives to love and represent.

While opposing desires may still be present in our lives, this is not an excuse to do whatever we want. It takes effort and a tenacity to live a life worthy of the King.

2 Corinthians 10:5 NIV We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

From a foundation of love and grace, I feel Father’s word to some people reading this today is, “Don’t be slack.”

For some, Father would say, “It’s time to start doing the things that you know are right.”

For others, it’s a call to return to First Love and to an obedience that gives evidence of this.

For all of us, I pray that we live in God’s love and grace, and that through His power and our daily decisions, we live a life worthy of Him.
