Good morning people who have a heart that pursues God

Matthew 1:1 NKJV The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham.

Jesus was called ‘the Son of David’.

When I think about David, I think about ‘a man after God’s own heart’.

Acts 13:21-23 NKJV And afterward they asked for a king; so God gave them Saul the son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years. And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.’ From this man’s seed, according to the promise, God raised up for Israel a Savior—Jesus.

David was a man who chased after intimacy with God and had a deep desire and commitment to do His will.

Jesus was the same.

David was the natural king over God’s people; the children of Israel.

Jesus is the spiritual King over God’s people; all Believers.

Personal agenda was not on Jesus’ radar. His heart was from His Father and His heart was for His Father; He was a Man after God’s own heart.
