Good morning people who let gratitude come out of your mouth
Philippians 4:6-7 NIV Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
We want the peace of God to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We all want this.
But we need to come into a fresh and deep revelation that it is connected to thanks-filled prayers.
Too often our prayers are focused on the problem and the tone is complaining.
From prison, Paul tells us to rejoice in the Lord and to present our requests to God with thanksgiving.
The word ‘thanksgiving’ here means: ‘gratitude; actively, grateful language to God, as an act of worship’.
Worshipping God is not just singing songs. It is living a life and praying prayers that are saturated in thanksgiving to God for Who He is and what He has done.
‘With thanksgiving’ is not ‘feeling thankful’, it is ‘speaking thankful”.
May we all pray “with thanksgiving”.
