Good morning people who desire more fruitfulness in 2019

As we lean into Father’s encouragement “Don’t strive”, I feel Him say:

Striving reduces fruitfulness, it doesn’t increase it.

We can understandably, but incorrectly, assume that if we strive more, we will produce more.

Just ask a tree if this is correct.

Here’s what Jesus tells us in God’s Word:

John 15:5 NIV I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.

True and lasting fruitfulness comes from ‘remaining’ more than it does from ‘straining’.

A branch does not labour or strive to produce fruit. It simply remains connected to the vine.

For many, we have underestimated our ‘deepening connection to God’ and over-inflated our ‘striving and trying’.

It’s time to realign. It’s time to stay connected.
