Good morning people who are grateful for the gift of Jesus

We are coming up to Christmas!

Some love this season, and some don’t. I understand that we can make it crazy, and this normally happens when we focus on ourselves and natural things; when we make it all about us; about presents and holidays.

So, I want to get in early and remind us to keep the right focus and perspective of what Christmas should mean to us.

Despite what some claim the origin of Christmas is, according to the dictionary, Christmas is ‘a Christian holiday that is celebrated on December 25 in honour of the birth of Jesus Christ’. That’s good enough for me and this is what I choose to focus on.

I am so grateful beyond words that Father took the initiative to restore us to relationship with Himself by sending His one and only Son to live and die for us! This is what Christmas means to me.

And so, I want to enjoy this time of celebration and thanksgiving for Who God is and what He has done for us. Let’s keep the right perspective. Let’s celebrate the right things; more accurately, the Right Person, and His name is Jesus!
