Good morning people who resist the pull of pride

Walking humbly before God matters. Walking humbly before people matters. Humility matters.

And humility comes in one of two ways:

1 Peter 5:5-6 NIV In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud but shows favour to the humble.”  Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time.

Either we humble ourselves or God humbles us (He opposes the proud). The first is always less painful than the second!

I believe God is looking for humble people who have incredible confidence in Him. I also believe the world is looking for the same, even if they don’t know it.

May Father help us all to walk in humility, and by doing so, honour Him and honour others.
