Good morning people who rely upon the anointing of God

Psalm 23:5 NIV You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

We know we need the anointing of God to preach and prophesy and heal the sick and set the captives free. We know that we can’t do this by ourselves or from ourselves. We know we need God. We know we need His anointing; His active ministry in us and through us.

“But do we equally know that we need God’s anointing to see the banquet table of God when we are surrounded by our enemies?”

Spiritual sight is not natural. It sounds like common sense, but many times we revert to trying to see and understand spiritual truth through natural understanding. We can’t.

When the enemy is roaring and when the battle is raging and relentless, I need the anointing of God to overflow in my life so that I can see what God is doing, and to not get distracted and overwhelmed by the enemy.

I suppose what I am trying to say is this: We don’t just need the anointing to overcome the enemy – we need the anointing to see the goodness of God while the enemy remains.

May the anointing open our eyes today to the wonders of God!
