Good morning people who keep your eyes on what is most important

1 Corinthians 13:8 NIV LOVE never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

LOVE will never fail, and it will never cease, be stilled or pass away.

The same can not be said about many things, including the many good gifts that have been given to us from God.

Sometimes we place too much importance on gifts and not enough on LOVE. This is not God’s way.

The whole purpose of the gifts of God is to point us to the God of the gifts; that is, the God Who is LOVE.

There will come a day, when Jesus returns, and we are living in the eternal presence of God, where prophecies, tongues, knowledge and all other spiritual gifts will be no more.

“Why?”

Because there will no longer be a need for signposts, and that’s what gifts are.

But while we wait, may we all steward the gifts of God wisely, and may LOVE always be our motivation and destination.
