Good morning people who surrender to the supremacy of Christ

I’ve just read Psalm 100 a few times and I notice the repeating of two words: Lord (4 times) and His (8 times). 

I’m reminded of what it says in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 where it says, ‘You are not your own; you’ve been bought with a price’. This is an accurate description of our lives when we accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour.

As we consider the word Lord, I want to remind us that it literally means, ‘Supreme in authority; that is, Controller’.

I’m also further reminded about Psalm 23:1 – ‘The Lord is my Shepherd, I lack nothing’.

When we accept Jesus’ kind invitation to eternal life, we don’t only accept a Saviour and a Shepherd, but we declare a new Lord in our life. We used to be the lord of our own lives – now we declare “Jesus is Lord!”

Psalm 100:1-5 NIV Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.
