Good morning people who make the right decision after making wrong decisions

This flow in BIY from the Book of Jonah has some weight to it (I feel it as I write it), but I must be obedient to what Father is telling me to do. But even with the weightiness, I know that these words are a timely intervention from a loving Father for some. So, I write honestly to you, believing Father is inviting you to lean in, listen, return, and be renewed.

Jonah 11-12 NIV The sea was getting rougher and rougher. So they asked him, “What should we do to you to make the sea calm down for us?” “Pick me up and throw me into the sea,” he replied, “and it will become calm. I know that it is my fault that this great storm has come upon you.”

In our disobedience, we can expect other people to do what we should do ourselves.

Jonah knew that what was happening to them was his fault. Yet rather than making a right decision, he tells them that they need to throw him overboard. Think about this! He was guilty, yet he is telling them that they need to do something wrong (effectively kill him).

Here’s my question to Jonah:

“Why don’t you repent and stop this calamity? Or if this does require a tough decision, why don’t you make it yourself and jump overboard? Why let your disobedience affect other people so much?!”

“Is there a decision that you need to make today that you are expecting someone else to make?”
