Good morning people who hear God speak and see what He has said

Ephesians 1:17 NIV I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better.

This was written to those who were already Believers; those who had heard the truth and who had received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. They had received a measure of revelation, because without it, no one can accept Christ. But Paul knew that there was so much more!

I believe the wisdom of God is ‘what God says to us’ and I believe the revelation of God is ‘what God shows us about what He has said to us’.

Saul himself, who had heard about Jesus, became the apostle Paul when Jesus revealed Himself to him.

Many Believers have heard about the majesty of God, yet something happens when Father shows people His majesty – just ask John in Revelation 1:9-20 Isaiah in Isaiah 6:1-9 and Moses in Exodus 34:29-35.

God has declared many glorious, totally life-changing truths about Himself in His Word. Many of us know what He has said, yet the impact has been minimal.

“What’s needed? More hearing?”

No – more accurately seeing what has been said! This is revelation!

Today I encourage you to pray this prayer sincerely:

“Father, please open my eyes to see what You have said about Yourself.”
