Good morning people who come together to praise and magnify the Lord Almighty
2 Chronicles 5:13-14 NIV The trumpeters and musicians joined in unison to give praise and thanks to the LORD. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, the singers raised their voices in praise to the LORD and sang: “He is good; His love endures forever.” Then the temple of the LORD was filled with the cloud, and the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the temple of God.
I am not content to just have nice, polished church meetings – we need the presence and the glory of God!
I notice here that the musicians didn’t join together to play music, but to give thanks and praise to God.
For those musicians involved in church music: It’s not about playing music – it’s about praising God!
For those singers involved in church music: It’s not about singing songs – it’s about praising God!
When those involved and those who attend have their focus and passion in the right place, the glory of the Lord will come!
It’s time for some to move past ‘performing their service’ to a passionate desire for God’s glory to come in our corporate worship times.
Unified, God-focused, passionate-praise for Who God is opens the windows of heaven!
