Good morning people who call out to the Lord in times of trouble

Psalm 18:6 NIV In my distress I called to the LORD; I cried to my God for help. From His temple He heard my voice; my cry came before Him, into His ears.

It’s a good thing to talk to God always. In fact, there’s never not a good time to talk to God.

David knew this, and in this verse he encourages us to call out to God in our distress.

Jesus knew what it was like to be in distress. Talking prophetically about Jesus, the prophet Isaiah said:

Isaiah 53:3 NIV He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces He was despised, and we held Him in low esteem.

Jesus wept when Lazarus died (John 11:35), and in the garden He was in such deep distress that His sweat was like drops of blood (Luke 22:44).

“Are you in distress?”

Talk to God, He truly understands.
