Good morning people who walk with a God Who is continually committed to us

Matthew 10:38-39 MSG If you don’t go all the way with Me, through thick and thin, you don’t deserve Me. If your first concern is to look after yourself, you’ll never find yourself. But if you forget about yourself and look to Me, you’ll find both yourself and Me.

Our God is not just a fair-weather God. This is true from Him to us and from us to Him.

God is not our God, our Saviour, our Redeemer, our Healer, our Restorer, only when we are doing well. He does not leave us when we make mistakes, or even when we are willfully sinful. Our incredible God sticks closer than a brother and He is the God of all seasons. He is the God Who walks with us through the valley of the shadow of death.

And it is true that He desires and requires us to walk with Him through thick and thin as well.

Sometimes I fear that we walk with God when the weather is fine and sunny, yet we pull back or at least step back when things get a little stormy.
