#3038 – Hearing God

Good morning people who make decisions based on hearing what Father is saying.

Hearing is the reason to start, stop, or continue something, not the evidence of fruit, nor the lack of it.

Psalm 1:1-3 (NIV) 1 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, 2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on His law day and night. 3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither – whatever they do prospers.

If Father can only get our attention because of a lack of fruitfulness in our life, church, business or ministry, then something is wrong.

Father wants to have our attention because we are continually listening to Him and being led by Him.

I believe evidence can be deceptive. Sometimes we believe the wrong things because of what we see; the reality of our situation.

We are called to live a life of faith, and faith comes from hearing what God says in His Word (Romans 10:17) and by His Spirit (John 16:13).
