#2187 – Fight Together

Good morning people who stand with others during spiritual battles

Nehemiah 4:19-20 (NIV) Then I said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, “The work is extensive and spread out, and we are widely separated from each other along the wall. Wherever you hear the sound of the trumpet, join us there. Our God will fight for us!”

This is an interesting part of the story.

Nehemiah acknowledges that people were spread out doing their individual part of the work. In life, we have different jobs and different tasks to do. In church, we have different jobs and different tasks to do.

But there are times when the enemy attacks someone and we are alerted to it.

It’s at this time that we need to join together in prayer and stand against the common enemy.

Our individual work and tasks must not keep us separated in times of war.

There is a spiritual principle that when we fight together, God will fight for us.

“Who have you fought for lately?”

“Are you committed to corporate prayer at your church?”

If you are not committed to corporate prayer, I believe this is a commitment you need to make today. Corporate prayer meetings – times of fighting spiritual battles together – should be the largest meetings, not the smallest.
