#2167 – Trust-Worthy

Good morning people whose God is working through others in your life

Ezra 1:1 (NIV) In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, in order to fulfil the word of the Lord spoken by Jeremiah, the Lord moved the heart of Cyrus king of Persia to make a proclamation throughout his realm and also to put it in writing.

I love this verse and the promise of it in our lives:

God can move people’s hearts to fulfil His purposes in our lives.

Here we see a king (I’m not sure of his relationship with God) whose heart God moved so that His exiled people could return to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple of God in order to fulfil a prophetic word spoken by Jeremiah. God didn’t move Cyrus’ heart because he was a good king, but because He wanted to fulfil His purpose.

It is easy to buy into the lie that other people can thwart the purposes and promises of God in our lives. This is simply not true! When we are submitted to God and doing our part, God moves people’s hearts and arranges them in order for the Word of God to bear fruit in our lives. This is incredible!

Don’t ever think God’s plans for your life won’t happen because of someone else’s decisions. God, not man, is sovereign in the life of a submitted Believer. God can open any door He wants, any way He wants, through any vessel He wants.

Do you remember the time God chose to speak through a donkey? How about the time He spoke from a burning bush? And then there was the time He wrote a message with His finger on a wall…now that would get your attention!!!

Throughout the Bible, God positioned people to fulfil His purposes and His promises. He moved people into different countries, different positions, and different places of power. He maneuvered Joseph to Potiphar’s house, Esther to king Xerxes’ house, Daniel to king Nebuchadnezzar’s house, and Moses to Pharaoh’s house…I don’t think God is limited in His ability to move people to fulfil His purposes.

And today I declare the same is true in your life: God can move people’s hearts to fulfil His purposes in our lives.

Our God is trust-worthy.
