Good morning people who are filled to overflowing with God’s power

In the Old Testament, God anointed people and as a result, they moved in the power of the Holy Spirit Who came on them:

1 Samuel 16:13 (NIV) So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David. Samuel then went to Ramah.

Then came Jesus and He too was greatly empowered by the Holy Spirit Who came on Him at the time of His baptism:

Acts 10:38 (NIV) …God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how He went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with Him.

Before Jesus ascended back to the right hand of the Father, He prophesied what would happen when the power of the Holy Spirit comes on us:

Acts 1:8 (NIV) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Without God we are nothing and we can do nothing of external value…but we are not those who are without God!!! If you have received Christ as your Lord and Saviour, you have received the fullness of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.

I pray today you acknowledge the Holy Spirit in your life and live in a way that pleases Him. I pray that you live every moment of this day out of the overflow of the Holy Spirit of God Who lives in you.
