Good morning people who are fully alive in God Almighty
1 John 4:15-18 (NIV)If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, God lives in you. That means exactly what it says: God takes up permanent residence in a follower of Jesus Christ. Christians are a dwelling place for God. This is some very good news!
As well as God living in us, we live in God. In other words, our very life is found in Him. Our ability to live a life worthy comes from Him. Nothing good is generated from ourselves but from God Who lives in us and in Whom we live.
“What do you rely on in life?”
Too often, we as Christians have accepted Christ yet still rely on many things other than Him. Our confidence, our security, our hope, our reliance must not be in the economy, our intelligence, our social abilities, our education, our position, our natural heritage…nothing, except God Himself and His immeasurable love. All other things, as good as many of them are, are shifting sands that can be here today and gone tomorrow. Christ is Who we need and Who we will always have.
“Where does your confidence lay today?”
