#2064 – Right Thinking

Good morning people who choose what they think about

(Today’s BIY written by Pastor Garry Leech)

Ephesians 6:17 (NIV) Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

A helmet protects our head; the place where our thoughts originate. Our thinking is a key to the health of our relationships. It’s time to think right and to think on the right things.

Let’s be people who think of ways we can positively input into our relationships. Prevention is better than cure.

Sometimes our relationships are struggling but our thoughts are still vitally important.

Let’s not write people off in our minds, but let’s think right about them; think about them as Jesus would.

Let’s not replay the sin, disagreement or hurtful words in our minds, but let’s think about extending grace and forgiveness, and thinking about restoration.

Let’s use our minds to remember the great times we’ve had in the past; the things we’ve achieved together; the victories we’ve share with each other.

Let’s think about what God says about the other person; what He feels towards them.

Let’s use our thoughts – our God inspired thinking, to do all we can to save the relationship.

Finally, let’s think about what God is positively wanting to do in their lives and what He desires to do in our lives.

Romans 8:28 (MSG) That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.
