Good morning people who pursue God and receive His gifts

2 Peter 1:2 (NIV) Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

Here’s some good news: God wants to give us grace and peace in abundance.

One of the many things I absolutely love about our God is that what He gives, He gives in abundance. God never gives leftovers or small amounts that can’t satisfy.

When it comes to God giving us life, it is to the full. When it comes to God giving us joy, it’s fullness of joy. When it comes to God giving us grace and peace, it is in abundance. It’s always in abundance and overflowing – that’s our God!!!

“So how do we receive this promised abundance of grace and peace?”

It’s through our knowledge of God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

The more we intimately and personally know God, the more we will freely receive His abundant grace and peace. The provision of this excess of grace and peace is an overflow of Who God is. Everything God gives is an overflow of Himself and it is always limitless…

…but it’s always linked to knowing Him. This is His greatest desire. He longs for us to long for Him and to pursue Him. He is the Reward of our seeking and desiring – abundant grace and peace is a wonderful added bonus!
