#2039 – No Matter What

Good morning people who serve God even in times of disappointment

“How do we go serving God faithfully when He delays in answering our deepest personal prayers?”

Luke 1:5-7 (NIV) In the time of Herod king of Judea there was a priest named Zechariah, who belonged to the priestly division of Abijah; his wife Elizabeth was also a descendant of Aaron. Both of them were righteous in the sight of God, observing all the Lord’s commands and decrees blamelessly. But they were childless because Elizabeth was not able to conceive, and they were both very old.

Zechariah and Elizabeth did not allow their burning desire for children and their questions of God to stop them serving Him as priests.

There is a level of greater faith that God invites us all to walk in this year as we trust God no matter what.

God is always good and He is always working for our good. “Do you believe this…even in times of apparent contradiction to what you believe God has said?”

Our lifestyle in times when we don’t understand and when we don’t receive the answers we want in the timing we want, reflects our level of faith.

This passage tells us that Zechariah and Elizabeth were both very old. In other words, they were past the age when conception was likely, if at all possible. Maybe this is where you figuratively (or literally) find yourself – in a situation where you think “It will never happen because it is too late.” It’s never too late with God!

So this year, let’s be people of greater trust in our God Who never fails. We can trust Him completely.
