Good morning grateful people

Today we celebrate a very special day; we remember the birth of our precious Saviour Jesus Christ. A couple of weeks ago we looked at Jesus as He is now and today we get to celebrate and remember Jesus; the child that was born. As we do I want us to think about this powerful scripture.

Isaiah 9:6-7 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his Kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.

Jesus the child was born but the Son was given because He has always been. This passage describes this child in many ways and they are all descriptive of our great King and God. This precious child is the great I Am. Today as we celebrate, let’s remember Jesus the child and let’s also remember Jesus the Eternal God.
