Good morning people who are salt and light to others,
Acts 13:22-23 After removing Saul, He made David their king. God testified concerning him: ‘I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.’ “From this man’s descendants God has brought to Israel the Saviour Jesus, as He promised.
Who does God desire to bring from our descendants?
Is it possible that there are some passionate, God-loving, world-changers allocated to us?
If so, what does this mean for us now?
I know for me, my life is a living testimony to my daughters. I know that my daughters form their theology of God by how I live. Therefore, in increasing measure, I am intentionally living a submitted life to God and asking Him to help me live a life that sets them up for a great relationship with Him.
My success is not in what profession they choose, but in whether I accurately represent God to them or not. My success is based on whether I have done all I can to help them have the amazingly wonderful relationship with God that He desires.
Sometimes I get it wrong. Sometimes I get angry and frustrated and I am a bad example for them. But even in those moments, we can take responsibility and ask for forgiveness – God can restore moments of failure.
So let me ask us again, “Who does God desire to bring from our descendants?”
