Good morning people who love people
Luke 5:29-32 Then Levi held a great banquet for Jesus at his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were eating with them. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to His disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and ‘sinners’?” Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
Jesus’ heart has always been and will always be for those who don’t know Him. Jesus left the ninety-nine safe sheep to look for the one who was lost.
Jesus did not come to condemn the world, but to save the world (John 3:17). Our hearts should be the same as Jesus’. We should be ones that are reaching out to those far off. We should be looking for ways of connecting with the unsaved and connecting them with God.
I think too many times we fear contamination rather than focusing on the positive influence we can be. This is something that God has challenged me about over the years and I’m still on a journey to where God wants me in this regard.
The reality is I shouldn’t focus on trying to change people and make them stop being sinners. My focus should be to love them as Jesus did and to connect people with Him.
Let’s purpose in every environment to see people as Jesus does and to intentionally love them and connect them with Him.
