Good morning people who seasonally produce fruit
Some people have been faithfully serving God yet have seen little fruit. You have been labouring hard yet not seeing the results. Some are frustrated or wondering what they are doing wrong because the “blessing of God” does not seem to be on what they are doing. The question is asked, “What do I need to change?”
For some of you the answer is “Nothing”.
We need to accept that we do not produce fruit all year round; we produce fruit in season.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven.
Psalms 1:1-3 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.
Please note who the Psalmist is talking to and who I am talking to today. This is about a person who is walking with God and living in line with God’s Word. This is talking about a person who has heard from God and is following God yet wondering why they are not seeing the fruit.
To that person the Psalmist says “you yield (produce) fruit in season”. You can be prospering even when you don’t see fruit. This is great news and I pray it is a source of encouragement to many of you today.
