Good morning people wanting to know God’s will
(By David McCracken)
I have the honour of being Steve’s dad and will be sharing with you for a few days. Thanks for having me in your place.
The subject of guidance is one of primary importance to us all. How do we get guidance? How can we be sure that it is from God?
For many people today, living life can be like playing Russian roulette: it is very much a hit and miss affair with a large dose of uncertainty. But does it have to be that way? I don’t believe it does.
I believe that the Lord has promised in Psalm 37:24 that “the steps of a righteous person will be ordered (guided) by the Lord”. God has also told us that He has given us the wonderful Holy Spirit to “lead us and guide us into all truth” (John 16:13). There are literally scores of scriptures and examples in the Bible that tell us clearly that it is the desire of our Father to give us clear guidance that will fill our lives with boldness and confidence.
The courage of your initiatives in the future rely upon the strength of your convictions today; especially the conviction that the guidance you have received has been straight from the Father’s heart; that this is His desire for you.
Over the next few days I will share with you a very simple but powerful key that will help you walk out life with the confidence of one who knows their steps are being ordered by the Holy Spirit within.
But you can start right now by simply asking Him for that guidance. He will hear you and He will answer you.
