Good morning people who have a heart for the lost

What a wonderful thought; Jesus loves sinners. I’m sure glad of that because I used to be one…and so did you.

Luke 15:1-2 Now the tax collectors and “sinners” were all gathered around to hear Him. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”

Jesus genuinely loves sinners! Sometimes we struggle with accepting people where they are at; Jesus doesn’t. Sometimes we struggle to feel love for the worst of sinners: Jesus doesn’t. This is a difficult thought for us to comprehend but it is an essential part of knowing God better.

Jesus loves everyone where they are at, and because of that love, His desire is to change their lives through a relationship with Him.

When asked why He ate with “sinners”, here’s Jesus response which reveals His heart to us very clearly.

Luke 5:31-32 Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

Jesus loves sinners. Jesus loves them so much He wants a relationship with them. That’s His heart. May we have His heart too.
