#5792 – Transformational

Good morning people who allow the Word of God to completely change your life.

I hear the words, our walk of faith is to be transformational, not just informational.

Here’s a question for us all today:

Has what we know changed our lives?

Too often we can stop short of Father’s intention. Yes, it is imperative to know the truth, but knowing the truth is evidenced by a transformed life, not by our ability to quote scripture. Please hear this.

Did you know that the devil quoted scripture to Jesus as part of his temptation?

Knowing scripture is great if it leads us deeper into a relationship with God. Otherwise, it can even be used as a tool in the hands of the devil. This is sobering!

There is a scripture that you probably know really well, but this truth is contained so clearly in the words. Let’s take a look:

Romans 12:2 NIV Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

The word transformed means metamorphose. This is not about a little change to a life that is largely the same. This word means to change completely in form or nature.

This is what happens when we receive Jesus! And then it unfolds more and more as God’s way of thinking becomes our way of thinking. Oh, blessed be the name of the Lord!
