Good morning people who live life with an ‘all of this is Yours Lord’ heart.
Proverbs 3:9-10 MEV Honor the Lord with your substance, and with the first fruits of all your increase; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your presses will burst out with new wine.
Do you believe that your money is yours or do you believe it belongs to the Lord?
Money is a big deal to God, because to Him, money is inseparable from the heart. In fact, it’s all about ‘Lordship’, and when it comes to finances, most people are ‘lord’ of their own wallets.
A Christian’s life is all about stewardship, not ownership. This is the biblical way, and it includes, but is not limited to finances. I don’t own my money. In fact, it’s not my money, it’s God’s. I don’t have the right to frivolously spend ‘my money’ on what ‘I want’, all-the-while ignoring God’s instructions to honour Him with my substance (‘wealth’ in the Hebrew), and with the first fruits of my increase (‘income’ in the Hebrew).
My life is not my own, and nor is my money.
Now comes the exciting part!
When we honour God with our finances – I mean, really honour Him as per His instructions above – we release the supernatural favour and provision of God in abundance! Father releases more to those who steward well (we can see this principle all through the Bible).
In addition to Father releasing more to those who honour Him through obedience, Father also releases more to those He trusts with His gift of finances and resources. God blesses us to bless others! If God can trust us, God will give us more.
When Father finds hearts like this, provision flows! Both my parents and my parents-in-law epitomise this biblical truth. They have received much and they give much. Why? Because it all belongs to God anyway!
Is it possible that your financial breakthrough is connected to living generously as ones who steward what God owns?
