#5591 – Armed with Strength

Good morning people who are strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.

Psalms 18:39 NIV You armed me with strength for battle; you humbled my adversaries before me.

Our strength does not originate from ourselves. If it does, we are in trouble, in big trouble! Our best is far short of sufficient, and that’s a good thing. Why? Because we were created to walk with God and to live in His sufficiency.

In life, there will be challenges, trials and enemies of many kinds. Some of these are significantly large, to the point that they seem insurmountable at times and overwhelming. The devil loves to magnify anything he can to get our eyes off the largeness of God. Think about this. His intention is not so much a moment or a feeling or a fall. He might use these, but his greater desire is to distance us from God and to get us to question the goodness of God and His love and kindness towards us.

Well, I have news for us all today: The devil is a liar! I know I’ve said this a few times recently, but I feel that we really need to hear this truth over and over again. The devil is the father of lies and this is his native and only tongue. He is a liar! He is not to be trusted or listened to!

The truth today is this: no enemy against you is stronger or more powerful than the God that you are hidden in and saved by! None! That fear, that intimidation, that accusation, that condemnation – God in you is greater! That failure, that fall, that sin, that mistake – God in you is greater!

My prayer is that your enemies will be humbled by God before you. My prayer is that you will walk in victory and power and supernatural strength. And if an enemy remains, may they be made to sit and watch you enjoy your heavenly Father’s banqueting table of delights that He has prepared for you – yes, even in the presence of your enemies!

It’s time to arise and shine for your light has come and your God is good!
